Employee Reporting to NewPage Corporation of Code of Conduct and Financial Concerns on a Confidential and Anonymous Basis

The NewPage Corporation Code of Conduct describes the standards of business conduct required of all our employees, officers and directors. It reflects our company’s values and commitment to comply with all laws governing our operations, to adhere to the highest standards of business ethics and to maintain a reputation for honest and fair dealings. Our Standards for Business Conduct Handbook provides detailed information relating to the application of the Code of Conduct.

The company’s Code of Conduct prohibits any employee from taking adverse action against anyone who in good faith raises a concern or participates in the investigation of a business integrity issue.

Reporting a Financial Concern to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of NewPage Corporation

The Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of NewPage provides an alternative method for the receipt and handling of complaints or concerns regarding accounting, internal accounting controls or auditing matters. Being aware of and understanding any issues that exist regarding financial, accounting, and/or auditing matters is essential to NewPage and our ability to take action and ensure the highest level of financial integrity.
